old silence lifts the curtains, it’s beginning
now what do we have here? A swelling hum
a curious choreography of feelings
restlesness dancing to a speeding drum
and I, I am both drawn to and repulsed by
what does one do in such cacophony
a quiet voice above the noise is asking
where are you, and your sister, where is she?
